The Striker/Keeper camp is an intense four days of specialized training for players looking to improve their ability to score goals.  Pairing attackers and goalkeepers together in the same camp environment enables each player to receive the number of challenging repetitions needed around the goal to become more comfortable handling the most crucial part of the game.
 

Attackers will be put through a curriculum designed to help players create and score goals.  This camp is a great opportunity for players to improve their technique and offensive skills in the attacking third, passing, dribbling, shooting, and scoring from crosses, volleys, and headers.

Goalkeepers will be put through a competitive program focused on shot-stopping, saving crosses, proper footwork, and decision-making. Players will also learn to read the game through match situations. Goalkeepers will have a goalkeeper coach working with them.  This camp is also beneficial to all field players who want to get better in front of the goal.

This camp is designed for the top teams in our program. Our ECNL, ECNL-R, and SCCL teams will train together daily in a team training environment. Each day of training will focus on the roles of different positions. Defenders, midfielders, and forwards will be trained in NASA’s attacking and defending principles.

The NASA Marietta Academy Summer Training Program offers Academy players the opportunity to continue their development during the summer season. Each week/session will emphasize different individual technical skills and will be complemented by small-sided (1v1/2v2/4v4) games. The program aims to give every player thousands of extra touches on the ball, foster a fun and organized environment to play alongside friends and teammates, and create competitive situations that promote both personal and team growth.

Purpose: The Athena Pre-tryout Camp is designed to prepare players for tryouts and is used as a bridge between the end of their team training sessions and the beginning of Athena tryouts. There is an emphasis on technical training to prepare the players to show well for the U13-U19 tryouts that will begin the following week. Players are grouped according to their ability level and may move up or down within the levels in each age group according to their performance over the course of the 2 days. Many of the 2024-2025 Tophat coaching staff, that will be picking the teams at tryouts, will be present to coach at the camp. The camp will give the coaches some extra time, prior to the actual tryout period, to work with and assess the players.
